Kaleidoscope Early Education Program
K.E.E.P.
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
9 a.m. – 12 noon
Kaleidoscope’s preschool teachers utilize several curriculum guides and
a number of excellent teacher resource materials designed especially for
3-year-olds and 4-year-olds to provide a well-rounded early education
program. The preschool curriculum is carefully designed for
three-year-olds and four-year-olds with the primary goals of fostering
mental, physical, social, and emotional development through fine and
performing arts instruction and related venues. The program curriculum is
constantly being expanded to provide individual and group instruction as
well as opportunities to demonstrate developing skills, talents, and
abilities. Each child will have the opportunity to explore a variety of
materials including paint, crayons, markers, modeling compound, glue, etc.
Puzzles, blocks, games, and other manipulatives
will also be fully explored. Together, children will enjoy stories, poems,
finger-plays, videos, and books. They will learn to respond rhythmically to
music, to sing a variety of songs, and will have opportunities for
listening to music. Children will learn simple choreography and dance
routines. All will have the opportunity to perform skits, mini-plays, and
thematic drama presentations. Sharing, taking turns, planning, working,
thinking, and reasoning are among the many life skills addressed. Also,
good health and hygiene habits will be fostered.
